2020 Operating highlights

  • Harvest volume decreased by 8% compared to 2019 and amounted to 15.5 ths tones HOG.

  • Sales volume totaled 15,5 ths tones of finished products, including fish and caviar.

  • Consolidated revenue totaled 8,346 bln RUB. Average selling price increased by 4% compared to 2019 to 538 RUB/kg ex. VAT.

  • The main driver of the harvest volume and sales’ decrease was the shift of the fish slaughtering activity to 2021 due to slower fish growth to its marketable weight which occurred because of the abnormally low water temperatures in the first half of 2020.

Russian Aquaculture is a leader in the production of Atlantic salmon and trout in Russia.

The Company’s core business areas are:

  • commercial farming of Atlantic salmon and sea trout in the Barents Sea in the Murmansk region

  • commercial farming of trout in the lakes of the Republic of Karelia

Russian Aquaculture’s core strategic focus is on developing its aquaculture business. The Company currently owns cultivation rights for 37 sites for farming salmon and rainbow trout. The total potential production volume for these sites is around 50 ths tons of salmonids.

The Company’s long-term development strategy involves the creation of the largest vertically integrated player in the aquaculture market, including the production of feed and stocking material, primary processing, and distribution of the Company’s own products.
